By now you’ve heard about the dangers of Aluminum in deodorants (from cancer to Alzheimer’s and dementia). And, although most people don’t know it, allowing your body to release sweat naturally is extremely important to your bodily systems and organs. I’ll bet you’re thinking, well yeah, sweating could keep you from overheating… and, you’d be right, but that’s not all. Natural body sweat hydrates the skin in a way that locks in healthy moisture and keeps skin from drying out. It’s also important to sweat out toxins. This can help protect against infection as sweat contains antimicrobial peptides that help fight bacteria and fungi. Last note: Natural deodorant may have to be reapplied during the day (especially if you sweat heavily). I’d much rather have to use twice a day during a hot summer than keep chances high that traditional Aluminum deodorants may severely disrupt my health.
